"Ain't many guys travel around together," he mused. "I don't know why. Maybe ever'body in the whole damn world is scared of each other" (35).
Rural Farmhouse
Plot Summary:
The next day, Lennie and George make their way to the ranch bunkhouse, where they are greeted by Candy. They are shown their bunks and meet other farmhands, including their boss, who is very angry with them for not showing up earlier. The boss tells Lennie and George that they are to start work on the next day. Curly and his wife come in, and George tells Lennie to stay away from both of them.
My Response:
At first, I thought this chapter was boring, but gradually picked up, when Curley entered the room. Curley is a very tempered young man, who is very insecure about himself. To me, Curley resembles Percy from the movie The Green Mile. They both think they are in charge of everyone else and thinks he knows everything.
