"Nobody never gets to heaven, and nobody gets no land" (74).
Farmland Sunset
Plot Summary:
In this chapter, Lennie wants to come in Crook's bunkhouse. Crook feels that this is wrong, since he is black and he can not have whites in his bunk. Lennie tells Crook of his plans for the farm in the future. Crook doesn't believe Lennie, and tells him that these dreams will not come true.
My Response:
I really liked this chapter because I thought it was brave for Crooks to have a white man in his room. A black man is risking many things by letting a white man in his room, it is very dangerous. Crooks could've gotten in a lot of trouble, but he risked it for Lennie.I believe a friendship will be made between these two. They are both outcasts, but they have each other to talk with. I believe they will truly get to know each other and understand each other's feelings.
